The key to solving this mystery was to notice:

• Each Raddle is exactly 12 steps long.
• This matches the number of days in the theme (12).
• The first Raddle in the theme suspiciously starts with the word START.

There was a twelve-word message hidden among these Raddles. To find it, you had to read the Nth step of the Nth Raddle in the set. That is, read the first step of Raddle 1, the second step of Raddle 2, etc. Together they spell this clue:

• START
• ON
• FREE
• PARKING
• ROLL
• THREE
• THEN
• ELEVEN
• NAME
• STATE
• FOUND
• BETWEEN

This is a reference to a Monopoly board (original edition). Three steps away from Free Parking is Indiana Avenue. Eleven steps beyond that is Pennsylvania Avenue. One state sits (geographically) between Indiana and Pennsylvania on a map, and that's our answer: OHIO.
